Idina Menzel stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday (Dec. 16) for a festive performance of “Christmas Just Ain’t Christmas.”

Clad in a sequined silver dress, the Broadway vet and Frozen star belted out the heartbroken Christmas classic while backed by a horn section, full band and a pair of fierce back-up singers.

“Underneath the mistletoe/ I saw a face all aglow/ Last year, this time/ Now I’m stayin’ home alone/ And my house is not a home/ Without that man of mine,” Menzel crooned before launching into the track’s jazzy chorus.

The star’s cover of The O’Jays’ 1969 hit is featured on her second holiday album, 2019’s Christmas: A Season Of Love, which she’s been busy promoting between publicity stops for her starring role as the voice of Elsa in Frozen 2.
